Sitka Blacktail

Well, Matt is back from another hunting adventure...well he's been back for a few weeks I'm just slow on the update. He went to Kodiak, Alaska with a couple of good friends to hunt Sitka blacktail. Now, this is not a baby dear- this a full grown buck. The antlers can be deceiving but this is really how big the antlers are supposed to be. There were four of them on the island together. They needed an even number so they could travel in pairs. "Why?" you ask...because of all the bears....yes, bears. Lots of brown bears. Luckily there were no encounters but he did get a couple of cool pictures from a distance.
